So...You Want To Know About ASFLC?

The Associated Students of Fort Lewis College is the governing body for the student population at Fort Lewis College.


ASFLC plays a role and has some jurisdiction in the following areas:

  • FAB (The Financial Allocation Board) - Responsible for allocating registered student organizations budgets each year & awarding grants.

  • SAF Budget Management (Your Student Activity Fee money) - Senators decide where your Student Activity Fee money goes.

  • President's Cabinet - ASFLC President is a member of the College President's Administrative Cabinet.

  • The Board of Trustees - ASFLC President is a representative to the Board of Trustees.

  • Local governance - (City of Durango's Multi-modal Transportation Board, local school district communication, Durango City Council)

  • Lobbying - ASFLC sends representatives to Denver each year to lobby and meet with our state officials to make sure your voice is being heard.

  • IFRB (Institutional Fee Review Board) - This Board is responsible for hearing requests for new fees, fee increases, as-well as fee decreases.
